Happy New Year! I’ve taken a short break from shooting and processing over the last couple of weeks, and am getting back into the swing of things with a shoot today and finally some time to work on images again.
This “sneak peek” is from a shoot I did just after Christmas for my sister-in-law Tanya and her grown-up children Jack and Rachel. Once again, I was lucky to fit in a photoshoot around some pretty big rainstorms! Tanya, I hope you like this one – there are a lot more to come. 🙂
I think you’ll enjoy this gorgeous location as much as I did! My clients had their wedding photos done here, and decided to do their family portraits here again, now that they’re a family of 3. This was the shoot where it had rained and rained, and then the sun decided to come out, just in time for our session. Thankfully it wasn’t too muddy and we were able to enjoy playing around in the grass. Toddlers aren’t the easiest subjects to photograph; however I’m happy to say I’m becoming a bit of an expert. I love how these images depict this little man’s energetic personality. Enjoy 🙂
I had a delightful time this afternoon shooting this family, who will soon grow by one more. This image struck me right away and I knew it had to be the “sneak peek”. He is already such a sweet big brother.
I left this session exhausted. These two kids may look cute, but boy did they make me work hard! It was all worth it though, because some of these images are now among my all time favourites. I love their natural feeling, and I hope to continue this style in future sessions. Get ready for a long post, because there were just too many that I wanted to share. Enjoy!
